Cases reviewed

Each session brings two or three independent fractional CTOs together to question a live technical or organisational problem — the panel is free to disagree with each other, and the founder leaves with a written diagnosis rather than a single unchallenged opinion. This page collects the sessions Neil has taken part in.

  • EURYAN — Engineering AI Validation
First virtual session · 7 July 2026 · Founder: David Carroll

David Carroll, founder of EURYAN (engineering backgrounds spanning Jaguar Land Rover, Lotus, and McLaren), brought a live case to the panel — contingency planning for enterprise clients, and whether customers will accept the technical moat EURYAN is building around. Neil Catton and Edoardo Turelli reviewed the case together, curated by Jane Vyshnova, Founder of CTO Grand Rounds.

“The level of seniority and experience the fractional CTOs brought stood out most.” David Carroll, Founder, EURYAN

Why this fits.

Fractional and interim technology leadership depends on judgement formed outside any single organisation. Grand Rounds sessions are one place that judgement gets tested in the open — a live case, a panel that disagrees where it disagrees, and a founder who leaves with something usable rather than a verdict agreed before the call started.

Neil takes part as one of the Attending Panel's fractional CTOs, alongside a rotating group of senior technology leaders drawn from across the network. Sessions vary case to case — this page collects the ones he has been part of, as they happen.
